The VADEA NSW Professional Learning and Research Grants for 2026 is officially launching at VADEA's 2026 Conference - Ignition: Collective Energy in Motion, Powering Visual Art Education. The VADEA Professional Learning and Research Grants are a unique opportunity for VADEA NSW to support visual arts educators, conference delegates and presenters who are current VADEA members to activate teacher agency as designers of future learning to curate learning experiences that connect classroom, artworlds and contemporary practice.
Visual Arts and Design Educators working within a K-Tertiary teaching curriculum, museum and/or gallery context who are current VADEA members are invited to submit an online application to share innovative strategies for navigating and implementing emerging pedagogy and research at a time of significant curriculum reform.
Proposals are to be informed by new syllabus content for Creative Arts K-6 (Visual Arts) 2024 implement 2027; Visual Arts 7-10 Syllabus (2024) implement 2027, Visual and Motion Design and Photography, Film and Digital Media 7-10 syllabuses (2025) implement 2027 and the pending Visual Arts11-12 syllabus to be implemented in 2028 and examined in 2029.
Applications for this 2026 grant program are now open and will close at 5pm, Monday 20 July.
