VADEA + Biennale of Sydney Nirin Haiveta Cruise

 

 

 

Announcing an exclusive VADEA 2020: Peripheral Visions conference afternoon breakout session event for delegates in conjunction with the 22nd Biennale of Sydney.

Delegates have the opportunity to select the VADEA + Biennale of Sydney Nirin Haiveta Cruise. VADEA has chartered the Nirin Haiveta ferry to view the Biennale of Sydney exhibition at Cockatoo Island followed by a Sydney Harbour tour with drinks and grazing platters.

The Nirin Haiveta ferry has been refurbished by Rosman Cruises in collaboration with the Melbourne Arts and Cultural Collective BE for the Biennale of Sydney. In Interpreting and abstracting Polynesian, Melanesian and Micronesian tattoo motifs, Rosman Cruises and BE have created a vessel that celebrates women’s mark-making through visual representation and interpretation.

This unique VADEA conference event will be held from the afternoon to early evening on Friday 8 May, departing from UTS by chartered coach arriving at Circular Quay for a 3.30pm ferry departure and returning to Circular Quay at 6.30pm.
