HSC Body of Work Marking 2021

VADEA is excited to announce our next VADEA Collaborate Live event HSC Body of Work Marking 2021 – Ask your Cross-Sector Experts on 9 September at 4:30pm.

In collaboration with NSW education sectors, VADEA is hosting a panel of HSC experts to discuss the 2021 Visual Arts HSC Body of Work marking process. The cross-sector panel will provide valuable insight in preparation for HSC teachers marking their own students’ work, using the NESA HSC marking pack.

Our expert panel include:

  • Audrey Juska – Supervisor of Marking for Visual Arts practical, NESA
  • Karen King – Leader of Learning, Creative Arts Caroline Chisholm College
  • Enza Doran – CAPA Coordinator, Good Samaritan Catholic College
  • Michele Brennan – Head of Department Visual Arts, Wenona
  • Melanie Graham – AISNSW Visual Arts Convenor
  • Kathrine Kyriacou – Visual Arts Advisor 7-12 NSW Department of Education
  • Alexander Papasavvas – Creative Arts Curriculum Officer NSW Department of Education.

Building upon the experience of HSC Body of Work marking in 2020, the panel will answer questions from VADEA and elaborate on the classroom teacher’s role in the HSC marking process. In addition, VADEA will be identifying the support available to teachers across all education sectors.

This event will also be made available to all Visual Arts teachers in NSW, no matter their sector or membership status with VADEA. If you are a 2021 HSC Visual Arts teacher, or a supervisor of HSC Visual Arts teachers, you will want to participate in this event.

You are invited to join the panel’s conversation about the NESA HSC Marking Support Pack and resources, designed to support HSC Visual Arts teachers in their marking of the Body of Works in 2021.

VADEA have collaborated with education cross-sectors for this event and hope that the expert panel member’s insights will support HSC Visual Arts teachers during this time and offer guidance in their professional practice. This panel will help to address your questions, concerns and orientate your understanding of the HSC Marking Support Pack. The panel will endeavour to answer questions that have been pre-submitted by teachers. We encourage all VADEA members and non-members, CAPA supervisors, and of course Visual Arts teachers, to join us for this important conversation.

Please submit questions for the panel by Tuesday 7th September and we will attempt to address your questions in the presentation.
